Purpose

  • Metal-cored Cr-Si-Mn flux-cored wire, martensitic tool family — high wear and impact resistance, with good toughness.

Why it works

The martensitic deposit combines high hardness with toughness — unlike purely hard, brittle tool steels, this one holds a sharp edge under impact. It's machinable only by grinding (not by chip removal), which suits parts that must keep a sharp edge.

Fields of application

  • Earth and mineral mining machinery: impact drilling and crushing devices, guide springs, cutting-tool edges, bucket teeth and edges.
  • Debarking knives, agricultural tillage tools, excavation bucket lips.

Equivalence refers to the classification (AWS / EN ISO), not to product identity. In applications with a qualified procedure (WPS), validate the substitution before use.

Advantages

  • High hardness and high toughness simultaneously.
  • Holds a sharp edge — machinable only by grinding.
  • Suitable on alloyed and unalloyed steels.
