Purpose
- Rutile-core Cr-Mo-Nb flux-cored wire, martensitic microstructure, for surfacing parts under severe impact and abrasion with metal-to-metal friction.
Why it works
The rutile-type core gives a stable arc, no spatter, and a perfect finish bead — unusual for surfacing flux-cored wires, where hardness usually takes priority over finish. The martensitic microstructure resists metal-to-metal friction well, and no cracking has been observed.
Fields of application
- Surfacing parts exposed to severe impact and abrasion with metal-to-metal friction.
- Filler for cutting-edge welding.

Equivalence refers to the classification (AWS / EN ISO), not to product identity. In applications with a qualified procedure (WPS), validate the substitution before use.
Advantages
- No spatter — rutile core, perfect finish bead.
- Good crack resistance.
- Metal-to-metal friction resistance.
