Classification

Purpose

  • Ni-Cu-Cr low-hydrogen basic electrode, one step up in mechanical strength and toughness from FERVEO HTS 420B3, for weathering steel (AWS E 8018-W2 H4, EN ISO E 46 6 Z NiCrCu B 42 H5).

Why it works

Same Ni-Cu-Cr alloying principle as FERVEO HTS 420B3 to match weathering steel's corrosion behavior, with a richer alloy content that steps up mechanical strength and certifies toughness at a more demanding temperature.

Fields of application

  • Weathering-steel structures (COR-TEN A/B/C, Patinax) with higher mechanical demands than those covered by FERVEO HTS 420B3.

Advantages

  • One step of mechanical strength and certified toughness above FERVEO HTS 420B3, within the same Ni-Cu-Cr anti-corrosion family.

Limitations

  • No source application sheet in the database — the content on this page was built from the recorded chemistry, mechanical properties and base materials, without inventing additional data.
