Purpose
- Super-austenitic Cr-Ni-Mo-Cu solid wire (20/25/4.5/1.5), for high corrosion-resistance stainless steel, cryogenic to -196°C.
Why it works
The wire version of the 385 family — same intergranular and wet corrosion resistance to 350°C as the electrode, with a wider service range toward the cold end (-196°C).
Fields of application
- DIN 1.4500, 1.4505, 1.4506, 1.4536, 1.4539 (super-austenitic Cr-Ni-Mo-Cu steel).
- Joining these steels to unalloyed or low-alloy steel.
