Purpose
- Special basic electrode for high-molybdenum Cr-Ni steel (up to 5%) — specifically recommended for highly corrosive environments at risk of stress corrosion cracking.
Why it works
On top of the 385 family's general chemical resistance, the manufacturer highlights marked resistance to stress corrosion cracking and crevice corrosion, with high pitting resistance — the recommended electrode when the base steel runs up to 5% molybdenum.
Fields of application
- AISI 307, 307L, 904L and Cr-Ni-Mo-Cu steels up to 5% molybdenum.
- Highly corrosive environments at risk of stress corrosion.
