Purpose
- High-output rutile variant of the INX 307 family (~E307-26 / E Z 18 9 MnMo R 53), for flat and horizontal-fillet welding at higher current than R/B.
Why it works
Same joining principle as INX 307 R/B (dissimilar steels, 14% Mn steel), but the heavier rutile coating takes more current and restricts positions to flat and horizontal fillet — trading position range for productivity there.
Fields of application
- Joining of high-resistance alloyed/unalloyed, heat-resistant/stainless steels, 14% Mn steel, hard-to-weld problem steels.
- Joint and filler welding between dissimilar metals.

Equivalence refers to the classification (AWS / EN ISO), not to product identity. In applications with a qualified procedure (WPS), validate the substitution before use.
Advantages
- Thicker rutile coating — higher productivity than INX 307 R/B in flat and horizontal-fillet position.
- Austenitic weld metal resistant to thermal shock, tough down to -100°C.
Limitations
- The thicker coating that allows higher current limits welding to flat and horizontal-fillet position — not an all-position version like INX 307 R/B.
