Purpose

  • Fast-freezing rutile flux-cored wire, same CrNiMn 307 family — work-hardening austenitic deposit, for dissimilar-metal joining and buffer layers on 14% Mn steel.

Why it works

Same principle as the INX 307 electrode family, in gas-shielded flux-cored form — higher deposition rate, useful for joints of unknown steel type, armor plate and buffer layers over 14% Mn austenitic steel.

Fields of application

  • Joining of dissimilar metals, welding of unknown steel types, armor steels.
  • Buffer layer over 14% Mn austenitic steel before hardfacing.

Advantages

  • Service range -120°C to +300°C.

Limitations

  • The deposit work-hardens due to its manganese content (6%) — machine before it hardens.
