Purpose
- Higher-hardness variant (325–350 HB) within the FERVEO HRF 300 family, for overlays that need a bit more wear resistance than the base grade.
- Same use as HRF 300: Mn-Mo rail points and crossings.
Why it works
Same basic-coated electrode type as HRF 300, alloyed up for higher hardness — the deposit holds up a little better against wear, at some cost to machinability versus the standard grade.
Fields of application
- Hardfacing of Mn-Mo rail points and crossings where standard HRF 300 falls short on hardness.

Cross-reference
| Replaces EH 330 (Magmaweld) | Direct replacement |
| Replaces AS SD-300 (Askaynak) | Direct replacement |
Equivalence refers to the classification (AWS / EN ISO), not to product identity. In applications with a qualified procedure (WPS), validate the substitution before use.
Advantages
- Higher hardness than standard HRF 300 (325–350 HB).
- Welds on DC+ or AC.
Limitations
- No published chemistry data from the manufacturer.
