Purpose
- Basic-coated Cr17 ferritic electrode (E 430-15), for corrosion- and wear-resistant surfacing — mainly for gas, water and steam valve seats.
Why it works
The 17% Cr ferritic steel resists scaling to 900°C and holds protective hardness to 500°C — which is why it's specifically recommended for valve seating faces, where the part must seal hot without pitting.
Fields of application
- Corrosion- and wear-resistant surfacing.
- Gas, water and steam valve seating faces.
