Purpose
- Submerged-arc (SAW) flux-cored wire, martensitic stainless (12.5% Cr–2.5% Ni–1% Mo–Nb) — hardfacing overlay for continuous-casting rolls, the higher-hardness variant (≈40-45 HRC) of the FERVEO INX 410NiMo pair.
Why it works
The same martensitic stainless base as FERVEO INX 410NiMo LH FCW, with more carbon, manganese, and niobium for a harder deposit (≈40-45 HRC) — more wear resistance, at the cost of somewhat more crack sensitivity than the LH version.
Fields of application
- Hardfacing overlay of continuous-casting rolls, valves, flanges, and similar parts in gas/water/steam environments, applied over a FERVEO INX 430 FCW buffer layer, with FERVEO FLX BSS-F flux.

Advantages
- Higher deposit hardness than FERVEO INX 410NiMo LH FCW (≈40-45 HRC) — more wear resistance.
- Good corrosion and thermal-fatigue resistance.
Limitations
- Requires a FERVEO INX 430 FCW buffer layer underneath and FERVEO FLX BSS-F flux — not used standalone.
- More crack-sensitive deposit than FERVEO INX 410NiMo LH FCW — if crack resistance matters more than wear, that's the option.
