Purpose
- Submerged-arc (SAW) flux-cored wire, martensitic stainless (12.5% Cr–2.2% Ni–1% Mo) — hardfacing overlay for continuous-casting rolls, the lower-hardness variant (≈350-400 HV) of the FERVEO INX 410NiMo pair.
Why it works
The martensitic stainless chemistry gives good corrosion and thermal-fatigue resistance in continuous-casting service — the "LH" version is tuned to a lower deposit hardness than the "MH" version, trading some wear resistance for more crack resistance.
Fields of application
- Hardfacing overlay of continuous-casting rolls, valves, flanges, and similar parts in gas/water/steam environments, applied over a FERVEO INX 430 FCW buffer layer, with FERVEO FLX BSS-F flux.

Base metals

Advantages
- Good corrosion and thermal-fatigue resistance.
- Lower deposit hardness than FERVEO INX 410NiMo MH FCW (≈350-400 HV) — a more crack-resistant option.
Limitations
- Requires a FERVEO INX 430 FCW buffer layer underneath and FERVEO FLX BSS-F flux — not used standalone.
