Purpose

  • Copper-coated Cr-Mo-V-W solid TIG rod, high hardness (57–60 HRC) for reconditioning hot-work and cold-work tooling.

Why it works

The Cr-Mo-V-W alloy is built to restore the edge and working surface of unalloyed-steel tooling — both hot-work and cold-work — rather than for high-volume structural buildup like the rest of the HRF family.

Fields of application

  • Reconditioning of hot-work tooling.
  • Reconditioning of the working surface and cutting edges of cold-work tooling made from unalloyed steel.
