Purpose
- High-hardness electrode (57-62 HRC) for crushing, drilling, excavating and grinding parts in mines and quarries.
- Final hardness depends on current, number of passes and the base metal.
Why it works
High silicon (3.5%) together with chromium gives a deposit resistant to abrasion and impact at the same time — typical of crusher and drilling parts, where wear isn't just friction but also shock.
Fields of application
- Crushing, drilling and excavating parts in mines and quarries.
- Soil-grinding equipment.

Equivalence refers to the classification (AWS / EN ISO), not to product identity. In applications with a qualified procedure (WPS), validate the substitution before use.
Advantages
- Resists abrasion and impact simultaneously (57-62 HRC).
- Hardness adjustable via welding parameters and number of passes.
Limitations
- diameters 4.0 and 5.0 mm, with ranges of 140-180 A and 170-210 A respectively.
