Purpose

  • CO₂-shielded flux-cored wire, 1.2% Cr–0.5% Mo (AWS E81T1-B2C, EN ISO T CrMo1 R C 2) — welding heat-resistant Cr-Mo steels in a higher-productivity flux-cored format.

Why it works

The same Cr-Mo alloy as the FERVEO CMO 1 family, in gas-shielded flux-cored wire format — higher deposition productivity than a covered electrode, for semi-automatic welding of Cr-Mo boilers and piping in higher-volume fabrication.

Fields of application

  • Cr-Mo steel boilers, piping, and castings in higher-volume fabrication, semi-automatic format.

Advantages

  • Semi-automatic flux-cored format — higher deposition productivity than a covered electrode for the same CrMo1 grade.
  • Same Cr-Mo alloy grade as the FERVEO CMO 1 electrode family — consistent in-service behavior across processes.

Limitations

  • Needs shielding-gas equipment — not self-shielded, unlike other FERVEO hardfacing families.
