Classification

AWS classE 70 C-6 M
EN ISO classT 46 4 M M 3

Purpose

  • Metal-cored wire, for butt and fillet welding with spray-transfer arc (AWS E 70 C-6 M, EN ISO T 46 4 M M 3).

Why it works

The metal core gives greater arc stability and a wider optimum current range than an equivalent solid wire, with less spatter in spray transfer.

Fields of application

  • Butt and fillet welding of construction steel and pipe (API 5L grades up to X60), with M21 gas shielding.

Advantages

  • More stable arc and wider optimum current range than an equivalent solid wire, with less spatter.

Limitations

  • Restricted to flat and horizontal-fillet position.
