Purpose
- Basic-coated variant of INX 318 — high ductility, good out-of-position weldability, intergranular corrosion resistance to 400°C, no preheat or post-weld heat treatment.
Why it works
Same niobium-stabilized Cr-Ni-Mo core as the rutile variant, basic-coated — same behavior as INX 316L B (high ductility for heavy sections), with niobium's extra stability on top.
Fields of application
- AISI 316Ti, 316Cb, 316L and equivalent stabilized Cr-Ni-Mo steels, including 13% Cr ferritic types.
- Heavy sections and out-of-position work.
