Purpose
- TIG rod version of the Mo-free Cr-Ni 26/5 INX 312 wire — same top-layer use, scaling- and sulphur-attack resistant.
Why it works
Same alloy as INX 312 MIG, as a TIG rod (DC-, I1 gas) — fine puddle control for the final pass over a more ductile filling layer such as FERVEO INX 310.
Fields of application
- Equivalent/comparable Mo-free corrosion-resistant steels and castings.
- Combustion atmospheres with high-temperature sulphur attack.

Equivalence refers to the classification (AWS / EN ISO), not to product identity. In applications with a qualified procedure (WPS), validate the substitution before use.

Advantages
- Scaling-resistant to 1150°C.
- Controlled TIG arc — suits the final pass.
Limitations
- Intended for continuous high-temperature oxidation resistance; if the part cools after prolonged exposure at 600–900°C, room-temperature toughness may drop due to sigma-phase formation.
