Purpose
- Air-hardening metal-cored wire, 57–62 HRC, for abrasion, impact and heat.
Why it works
Alloyed metal-cored (Cr-Mo-V): the weld metal is air-hardening and usually worked only by grinding. Combines abrasion, impact and heat resistance. Preheat to 200–300 °C recommended. Requires CO2 (M21) gas.
Fields of application
- Cutting tools, shear blades, cold-rolling-mill rolls, roller tables, forging dies.
- Jaw crushers, hammers, ripper teeth, scarifiers, mixer parts, blast-furnace valves.

Equivalence refers to the classification (AWS / EN ISO), not to product identity. In applications with a qualified procedure (WPS), validate the substitution before use.
Advantages
- 57–62 HRC — abrasion, impact and heat.
- Air-hardening.
- Metal-cored — good deposit and stable arc.
Limitations
- Needs gas (CO2/M21).
- Preheat 200–300 °C recommended.
- Machinable only by grinding.
