Purpose
- Solid MIG/MAG wire for medium-hardness surfacing (225-275 HB), also weldable on TIG — for gears, rails and shafts.
Why it works
The lowest hardness step in the MIG surfacing family — suited both for direct surfacing of moderate-hardness parts and as a buffer layer under a much harder overlay, keeping the extreme hardness from cracking the base metal.
Fields of application
- Surfacing gear teeth, rails and shafts.
- Buffer layer under harder overlays.
