Purpose
- Fluoride-basic submerged-arc (SAW) flux, basicity 2.45, for stainless steel — designed for use with ELOX UP 307/308L/309L/316L wire.
Why it works
A dedicated stainless-steel flux system that preserves the corrosion resistance and mechanical properties of the paired stainless wire, without diluting them the way a general-purpose carbon-steel flux would.
Fields of application
- Submerged-arc welding of stainless steel, paired with ELOX UP 307/308L/309L/316L wire.

| Replaces OP 160 (Oerlikon) | Direct replacement |
Equivalence refers to the classification (AWS / EN ISO), not to product identity. In applications with a qualified procedure (WPS), validate the substitution before use.
Advantages
- Preserves the corrosion resistance and mechanical properties of stainless wire.
- Easily removable slag.
Limitations
- Built for the ELOX UP 307/308L/309L/316L wire range — for duplex stainless, FERVEO FLX BSS-D is the dedicated grade.
