Purpose
- CO₂-shielded rutile flux-cored wire, 2.4% Cr–1% Mo (AWS E91T1-B3C/B3M, EN ISO T CrMo2 R C 1/T CrMo2 R M 1) — with good weldability even in demanding positions, for P22-grade boilers and piping.
Why it works
The same P22-grade Cr-Mo alloy as the FERVEO CMO 2 family, in rutile flux-cored wire format — the rutile slag type gives good arc stability and good weldability even in demanding positions like vertical-up and overhead, something not every flux-cored wire achieves.
Fields of application
- P22-grade Cr-Mo steel boilers, piping, and parts in semi-automatic fabrication, including demanding positions.

Base metals
2.25% Cr - 1% Mo steels such as ASTM A387 or P21/P22 pipes.
Advantages
- Good weldability even in demanding positions (vertical-up, overhead fillet), thanks to the rutile slag type — not every flux-cored wire manages this.
- Good arc stability.
Limitations
- Needs shielding-gas equipment — not self-shielded, unlike other FERVEO hardfacing families.
