Purpose

  • TIG rod, 12% Cr martensitic steel (11% Cr–1% Mo–V–W, EN ISO G/W CrMoWV12Si) — joining and surfacing of turbine parts in 12Cr steel (X20CrMoV12-1 and equivalents), resistant to hot scaling up to 600°C.

Why it works

At 11% chromium, this alloy belongs to the 12Cr martensitic steel family used for turbines — a different family from the 9Cr-1Mo boiler ladder (FERVEO CMO 9/91). The TIG rod format gives the finest weld-pool control, useful for precision surfacing of blades and other delicate-geometry parts.

Fields of application

  • Precision joining and surfacing of turbine rotors, blades, and casings in 12Cr martensitic steel.

Advantages
