Purpose

  • Solid 12% Cr martensitic steel wire (11% Cr–1% Mo–V–W, EN ISO G/W CrMoWV12Si) — joining and surfacing of turbine parts in 12Cr steel (X20CrMoV12-1 and equivalents), resistant to hot scaling up to 600°C.

Why it works

At 11% chromium, this alloy belongs to the 12Cr martensitic steel family used for turbines (rotors, blades, casings) — a different family from the 9Cr-1Mo boiler ladder (FERVEO CMO 9/91), built for both joining and surfacing worn turbine parts.

Limitations
