Purpose

  • Low-hydrogen basic electrode, one mechanical-strength step above FERVEO STL 420B5 (AWS E 7018-1 H4, EN ISO E 46 5 B 42 H5).

Why it works

Higher manganese content than the 420B range gives one more mechanical-strength step while keeping the same certified toughness as FERVEO STL 420B5 — also suited to low-purity and high-carbon steel, where the basic coating's metallurgical cleanliness helps avoid cracking.
