Classification

Purpose
- Medium-coated, flexible electrode, weldable vertical-down, a deeper-penetration classification than FERVEO STL 420RC0 AC P1 3 (AWS E 6012, same EN ISO class).
Why it works
Same flexible-coating family as FERVEO STL 420RC0 AC P1 3, with the AWS E6012 classification instead of E6013 — somewhat deeper penetration, typical of this designation versus the 6013 variant.
Fields of application
- General carbon-steel fabrication in hard-to-access positions, including vertical-down, where somewhat more penetration than FERVEO STL 420RC0 AC P1 3 is wanted.

Equivalence refers to the classification (AWS / EN ISO), not to product identity. In applications with a qualified procedure (WPS), validate the substitution before use.

Advantages
- Somewhat deeper penetration than FERVEO STL 420RC0 AC P1 3, in the same position range including vertical-down.
Limitations
- Differs from FERVEO STL 420RC0 AC P1 3 mainly in AWS classification (E6012 versus E6013) — check which one the qualified WPS calls for.
