Purpose
- Molybdenum-alloyed, bare solid wire for submerged-arc welding (SAW) (AWS EA 2, EN ISO S2Mo) — for moderately elevated-temperature service.
Why it works
Adding molybdenum versus the S1-S4 ladder improves creep resistance of the deposit once combined with flux — the same alloying principle that opens the FERVEO CMO electrode family, here in wire form for submerged arc.
Fields of application
- Machinery, tank and boiler fabrication where moderate creep resistance is required.

Equivalence refers to the classification (AWS / EN ISO), not to product identity. In applications with a qualified procedure (WPS), validate the substitution before use.

Advantages
- Mo alloying for moderately elevated-temperature service, not covered by the unalloyed S1-S4 ladder.
- Same alloying principle as the FERVEO CMO electrode family, in the high-productivity submerged-arc format.
Limitations
- For more chromium (higher-temperature service), see the FERVEO SAW CrMo1/CrMo2/CrMo5/CrMo91 sub-family.
- Without flux it isn't a complete consumable — pair with a suitable FERVEO FLX flux.
