Purpose
- Bare solid wire for submerged-arc welding (SAW), unalloyed, for use with flux (AWS EL12, EN ISO S 1) — the entry step of the FERVEO SAW ladder.
Why it works
The wire alone carries no coating or built-in flux: in submerged-arc welding, weld-pool protection and much of the deposit's final alloying come from the granular flux it's paired with — this low-carbon, low-manganese wire is built to pair with neutral or lightly alloying fluxes.

- Machinery, tank, structural-steel and shipbuilding fabrication, in carbon-steel joints welded by submerged arc.

Advantages
- Submerged-arc process — high productivity and good finish in mechanized, high-volume welding.
- Simple, low-cost composition for carbon steel with no special alloying requirements.
Limitations
- Without flux it isn't a complete consumable — pair with a FERVEO FLX flux matched to the alloying and mechanical properties needed.
