Classification

| EN ISO class | S CrMo1 |
Purpose
- 1.2% Cr–0.5% Mo alloyed, bare solid wire for submerged-arc welding (SAW) (AWS EB 2, EN ISO S CrMo1) — the submerged-arc counterpart to the FERVEO CMO 1 electrode family.
Why it works
Same base Cr-Mo composition that opens the FERVEO CMO electrode ladder, here in bare-wire form paired with flux for submerged-arc welding — built for mechanized, high-volume welding of the same heat-resisting steel.
Fields of application
- Machinery, tank and boiler fabrication in low-alloy Cr-Mo steel, mechanized submerged-arc welding.

Cross-reference
| Replaces OE-S2 CrMo1 (Oerlikon) | Requires WPS validation |
Equivalence refers to the classification (AWS / EN ISO), not to product identity. In applications with a qualified procedure (WPS), validate the substitution before use.
Base metals
13CrMo4415CrMo342CrMo4
Advantages
- Same base Cr-Mo grade as the FERVEO CMO 1 electrode family, in the high-productivity submerged-arc format.
Limitations
- Without flux it isn't a complete consumable — pair with a suitable FERVEO FLX flux.
- For higher chromium content, see FERVEO SAW CrMo2/CrMo5/CrMo91.
