Purpose
- Ni-Cr-Mo solid wire (Hastelloy C-276 type) for joining and surfacing in the most aggressive chemical environments.
- Welding of Hastelloy C-276 and similar grades.
Why it works
Molybdenum (15-17%) together with tungsten (3.5%) on a nickel-chromium base (14.5-16.5% Cr) gives this alloy one of the highest corrosion resistances available in a welding filler, valid in both oxidizing and reducing media — the reference in this datasheet for the most demanding chemical service, ahead even of NIC 22.
Fields of application
- Welding of Hastelloy C-276 and equivalent or similar grades.
- Chemical process equipment in the most aggressive environments: flue-gas desulfurization plants, pulp and paper industry.

Advantages
- One of the highest corrosion resistances in this datasheet, valid in both oxidizing and reducing media.
- Good combination of mechanical strength (Rm 750 MPa) and toughness (KV 90 J).
Limitations
- High-cost alloy — reserve for the most demanding chemical service, not a general substitute for NIC 82/625.
