Purpose
- Precipitation-hardening stainless Cr-Ni-Cu 16.7/4.7/3.5 solid TIG rod (17-4PH type) — the highest mechanical strength in the entire INX line (Rm 990 MPa).
Why it works
Unlike the rest of the austenitic/martensitic family, this steel hardens by precipitation: it can be used as-welded or, for higher strength, with a post-weld heat treatment — copper is what enables that extra age-hardening.
Fields of application
- Parts requiring high mechanical strength in precipitation-hardening stainless steel (17-4PH type).

Advantages
- The highest mechanical strength in the INX line (Rm 990 MPa, Rp0.2 850 MPa).
- Usable as-welded or heat-treated for higher strength.
Limitations
- Low elongation (A5 10%).
