Purpose
- Cr-Mo 17/1.2 basic electrode, mechanically stronger than INX 430 (Rm 650–750 MPa vs 540–660 MPa).
Why it works
Molybdenum (1.2%) and slightly higher carbon raise mechanical strength over the INX 430 ferritic base — aimed at carbon or low-alloy steel parts (including castings) that need more strength than a standard surfacing job.
Fields of application
- GS-C 25 casting, X22CrNi 17 steel and 41Cr4 quench-and-temper steel.
