Purpose

  • High-output rutile Cr-Ni-Mo 18.5/11/2.7 electrode (~E316-26, ~150% efficiency), for joining and surfacing stainless steel onto carbon steel.

Why it works

High-output synthetic coating, high-current capable — built for flat/horizontal-fillet production welding, both for joining stainless to carbon steel and for cladding carbon steel with stainless.

Fields of application

  • Joining of stainless steel to carbon steel.
  • Surfacing of stainless steel onto carbon steel.

Replaces AS P-316S (Askaynak)Direct replacement

Equivalence refers to the classification (AWS / EN ISO), not to product identity. In applications with a qualified procedure (WPS), validate the substitution before use.

Advantages

  • ~150% deposition efficiency.
  • High-current capable.
  • Weldable on DC+ or AC.

Limitations

  • Flat and horizontal-fillet position only (PA/PB).
