Purpose

  • Mn-Ni-Cu MIG/MAG wire for weather-exposed structural steel of the COR-TEN type (EN ISO 16834 ~Mn3Ni1Cu) — the solid-wire equivalent of the FERVEO HTS ladder's anti-corrosion electrode and FCW sub-family.

Why it works

The wire's Ni-Cu alloy reproduces the same self-healing protective oxide layer that characterizes weathering steel, same as the Ni-Cu-Cr electrode sub-family (FERVEO HTS 420B3/460B6 NiCrCu) and flux-cored wire (FERVEO HTS 550 FCW), here for MIG/MAG.

Fields of application

  • Unpainted, weather-exposed structural steel (COR-TEN, Resco, Patinax and equivalents) welded by MIG/MAG.

Advantages

  • Same Ni-Cu anti-corrosion family as the FERVEO HTS ladder's electrode and flux-cored-wire sub-families, in solid-wire form for higher productivity.

Limitations

  • For the same anti-corrosion requirement in covered electrode or flux-cored wire, see FERVEO HTS 420B3/460B6 NiCrCu and FERVEO HTS 550 FCW.
