Classification

EN ISO classG 89 4 M21 Mn4Ni2CrMo

Purpose

  • Very-high-strength Mn-Ni-Cr-Mo MIG/MAG wire, for high-elastic-limit steel subsequently quenched (AWS ER 110S-G, EN ISO G 89 4 M21 Mn4Ni2CrMo).

Why it works

Higher nickel content than FERVEO HTS 690 MIG steps mechanical strength up once more within the same Mn-Ni-Cr-Mo family — needs the same moderate preheat as the entry-level range before welding.

Fields of application

  • Very-high-strength, high-elastic-limit steel (N-A-XTRA 65-70, XABO 90 and equivalents), with preheat between 100°C and 200°C.

Advantages

  • One of the highest mechanical-strength steps in the FERVEO HTS solid-wire range.

Limitations

  • Requires preheat between 100°C and 200°C before welding.
  • For the solid-wire range's top step, see FERVEO HTS 960 MIG.
