Purpose
- Metal-cored wire for tooling, 53–56 HRC, that keeps its strength at temperature.
Why it works
Cr-Mo-W-V alloy combining wear resistance with hot-hardness stability. Metal core: stable arc and good deposition. Requires M21 gas.
Fields of application
- Cold- and hot-work tool steels.
- Hot-forming knives, extrusion dies and steel casting dies.

Equivalence refers to the classification (AWS / EN ISO), not to product identity. In applications with a qualified procedure (WPS), validate the substitution before use.
Advantages
- Excellent wear resistance with stable hot hardness.
- Metal-cored — stable arc and good deposit.
- 53–56 HRC, hardness/toughness balance.
Limitations
- Needs shielding gas (M21).
