Purpose
- Metal-cored wire for repair and coating of tooling, 39–41 HRC, with very good machinability.
Why it works
A special alloy designed to repair and hardface tools working at low and high temperatures, at a moderate hardness that machines well. Applied over unalloyed and low-alloyed bases. Requires M21 gas.
Fields of application
- Hardfacing of heavily stressed hot-work tools subject to compression, impact and abrasion at elevated temperature.
- Forging dies, female dies, stamps, die-cast moulds, guides, rollers.

Equivalence refers to the classification (AWS / EN ISO), not to product identity. In applications with a qualified procedure (WPS), validate the substitution before use.
Advantages
- Very good machinability — easy dressing and fitting.
- Suitable over unalloyed and low-alloyed bases.
- Repair of hot-work tooling.
Limitations
- Needs shielding gas (M21).
