Classification

AWS classEN 14700 T Fe 16
EN ISO classEN 14700: T Fe 16

Purpose

  • Self-shielded, fine-grain C-Cr-V wire, the hardest in the HRF FCW family (64-67 HRC) — for extreme abrasive wear even at elevated temperature.

Why it works

High vanadium (10%) together with a fine-grain structure prevents matrix washout under abrasion — giving extremely high scratch hardness, above even HRF 65 FCW.

Fields of application

  • Cement and concrete pumps, slurry pumps.

Advantages

  • The highest hardness in the family (64-67 HRC).
  • Resists extreme abrasive wear even when hot.
  • No shielding gas needed.

Limitations

  • Current set by diameter: from 160-260 A (1.6 mm) up to 320-400 A (2.8 mm).
