Classification

DIN 8555 / EN 14700MF 10 GF-65-G

Purpose

  • Self-shielded flux-cored wire (open arc) with C-Cr-Nb-B, 62–65 HRC, of extreme abrasion hardness.

Why it works

A special composition high in carbon, chromium, niobium and boron forms very hard carbides: extreme hardness oriented to pure abrasion. Open arc, no gas.

Fields of application

  • Mining equipment, augers, impellers, dredgers, drills, gearwheels.
  • Fan blades, excavator scoops, bucket lips and wear plates.

Equivalence refers to the classification (AWS / EN ISO), not to product identity. In applications with a qualified procedure (WPS), validate the substitution before use.

Base metals

Hardfacing of mining equipment, augers, impellers, dredgers, drills, gearwheels and parts, fan blades, excavator scoops, bucket lips and wear plates

Advantages

  • 62–65 HRC — extreme hardness.
  • Nb and Cr carbides — pure abrasion.
  • No gas needed — open arc.

Limitations

  • Abrasion-oriented, low tolerance to high impact.
  • Machinable only by grinding.
