Purpose

  • Complex chromium-niobium carbide electrode (62 HRC) for parts under abrasion combined with light impact: screw conveyors, mixer blades, sand pumps.
  • Also corrosion-resistant.

Why it works

High chromium (24%) and niobium (7.5%) form very hard, corrosion-resistant complex carbides — covers the case where abrasion comes with a corrosive or wet environment, not just dry wear.

Fields of application

  • Screw conveyors (augers).
  • Mixer blades.
  • Sand pumps.

Equivalence refers to the classification (AWS / EN ISO), not to product identity. In applications with a qualified procedure (WPS), validate the substitution before use.

Advantages

  • Resists corrosion, friction and light impact simultaneously.
  • Weldable on DC+ or AC.

Limitations

  • Overlapping passes not recommended — each pass should stand independently.
  • diameters 3.2 and 4.0 mm (125-200 A). Re-dry a minimum of 2h at 300-350°C.
