Classification

DIN 8555 / EN 14700MF 10-GF-55-GP

Purpose

  • Self-shielded flux-cored wire with titanium carbides, martensitic, 52–57 HRC, for extreme wear under pressure.

Why it works

Deposits C, Cr, Ti and Mo: the martensitic microstructure with titanium carbide combines high hardness with impact resistance, ideal where wear comes with high pressure. Open arc, no gas.

Fields of application

  • Roller presses, grinding/pulverising rolls, dredge-pump shells.
  • Rock-crushing hammers, shredders, kneaders, vertical-shaft impact-crusher rotors, asphalt.

Cross-reference

Replaces Stoody 134 (Stoody)Direct replacement

Equivalence refers to the classification (AWS / EN ISO), not to product identity. In applications with a qualified procedure (WPS), validate the substitution before use.

Base metals

Roller presses, grinding/pulverizing rolls, dredge pump shells, rock crushing hammers, shredders, asphalt, kneaders, crushing hard materials, vertical shaft impact crusher rotors

Advantages

  • Titanium carbide — wear and impact resistance together.
  • No gas needed — open arc.
  • Best for extreme wear under high pressure.

Limitations

  • Machinable only by grinding.
