Purpose
- Low-carbon metal-cored Cr-Ni flux-cored wire (FCW) (12% Cr, 4% Ni, 0.6% Mo), for surfacing and also suitable for joint welding.
- PA/PB positions (flat and horizontal-vertical fillet).
Why it works
Unlike the HRF 600/650 wires (high carbon, very hard), HRF 414 is low in carbon (0.05%) — it prioritizes toughness and joint weldability over maximum hardness, with a classification close to 13Cr-4Ni martensitic stainless steels.
Fields of application
- Surfacing with metal-cored Cr-Ni wire.
- Joint welding where the same filler is useful for both joining and surfacing.
