Classification

EN ISO classEN 14700: S Fe 9

Purpose

  • Self-shielded flux-cored wire (no gas, fed like MIG wire), austenitic manganese steel (14% Mn), for rebuilding manganese (Hadfield-type) steel parts under severe impact wear.

Why it works

Same Hadfield principle as FERVEO HRF 14 / HRF 14 FCW: the manganese austenite work-hardens under impact itself, without cracking — here in self-shielded form, no gas or bottle needed, fed from a spool like ordinary MIG wire.

Fields of application

  • Rebuilding crusher jaws, railroad components, bucket teeth and lips.
  • Reclaiming worn manganese-steel parts.

Advantages

  • No shielding gas needed — self-shielded.
  • Non-magnetic austenitic deposit, tough, crack-free, work-hardens under impact.
  • Four diameters (1.6-2.8 mm).

Limitations

  • Current set by diameter: from 160-260 A (1.6 mm) up to 320-400 A (2.8 mm).
