Purpose
- Oxy-fuel (gas) welding rod (EN ISO 20378 O V), chromium-molybdenum alloyed — the top step of the FERVEO GAS ladder, for heat-resistant Cr-Mo steel.
Why it works
Adding chromium to the molybdenum of FERVEO GAS IV gives the same Cr-Mo alloying principle as the FERVEO CMO family, here in rod form for oxy-fuel welding — a viscous weld pool, with no spatter and no tendency to porosity.
Fields of application
- Engineering structures, steam boilers, vessels, and piping in heat-resistant Cr-Mo steel.

Advantages
- The highest-strength step of the FERVEO GAS ladder, with Cr-Mo alloying.
- Viscous weld pool, no spatter and no tendency to porosity.
Limitations
- For MIG/MAG or TIG processes on Cr-Mo steel, the FERVEO CMO family offers more alloy steps and formats.
