Purpose
- Oxy-fuel (gas) welding rod (EN ISO 20378 O III), nickel-alloyed — for higher-demand tubes and sheets, with a slower, more controllable weld pool.
Why it works
Nickel added on top of the FERVEO GAS II base gives a slower, more controllable weld pool — useful on higher-demand root passes where pool handling time matters more than on the I/II grades.
Fields of application
- Engineering structures, steam boilers, vessels, and piping, higher-demand tube and sheet root passes.

Advantages
- Slower, more controllable weld pool than FERVEO GAS I/II — more working margin on demanding passes.
- Nickel-alloyed — one more strength step above FERVEO GAS II.
Limitations
- For additional thermal demands (elevated-temperature service), see FERVEO GAS IV/V, alloyed with molybdenum and chromium.
