Purpose
- Oxy-fuel (gas) welding rod (EN ISO 20378 O II) — more manganese than FERVEO GAS I, for tubes and sheets with higher root-pass demands.
Why it works
More manganese than FERVEO GAS I steps up deposit strength — built for root passes on tubes and sheets under higher stress than the base grade covers.
Fields of application
- Engineering structures, apparatus, steam boilers, vessels, and piping, especially root passes on higher-demand tubes and sheets.

Advantages
- One strength step above FERVEO GAS I — for higher-demand root passes.
Limitations
- For a more controllable weld pool on even more demanding passes, see FERVEO GAS III and up.
