Purpose
- Aluminate-basic submerged-arc (SAW) flux, basicity 1.4 — single- and multi-pass welding of general construction, shipbuilding, boiler, and fine-grained heat-resistant steel.
Why it works
Basicity 1.4 gives high low-temperature toughness across a broader range of steel types than the general-purpose FERVEO FLX BAS, including heat-resistant grades, while keeping flux consumption low and slag easy to remove.
Fields of application
- General construction, shipbuilding, boiler plate, heat-resistant and fine-grained steel.

Advantages
- High low-temperature toughness.
- Covers more steel types (including heat-resistant) than FERVEO FLX BAS.
Limitations
- For pipe manufacturing or pressure vessels specifically, FERVEO FLX PIPE/BFPP/BFPV are the dedicated grades.
