Purpose
- Calcium-silicate submerged-arc (SAW) flux — SAW hardfacing overlay of steel.
Why it works
Paired with the appropriate hardfacing wire, this flux is used specifically to deposit wear-resistant overlay by the submerged-arc process rather than for joining — a hardfacing companion to the joining-focused grades in the FERVEO FLX range.
Fields of application
- Submerged-arc hardfacing overlay of steel.
Mechanical properties

Advantages
- Purpose-built for SAW hardfacing, distinct from the joining-focused grades in the FERVEO FLX range.
Limitations
- Not intended for structural joint welding — for that, see the joining-focused FERVEO FLX grades (BAS, BFB, PIPE, etc.).
