Purpose
- High-manganese aluminum bronze solid wire (CuMn13Al8Fe3Ni2), the hardest in the CUP AL family — corrosion, erosion and cavitation-resistant surfacing.
Why it works
The very high manganese content (13%) is what sets this alloy apart from the other nickel aluminum bronzes in this datasheet — it gives the highest hardness in the whole CUP family (250 HB), at the cost of the lowest ductility (A5 10%).
Fields of application
- Joining manganese-nickel aluminum bronze alloys.
- Corrosion, erosion and cavitation-resistant surfacing on unalloyed and low-alloy steels, and cast steel parts.

Advantages
- The highest hardness in the whole CUP family (250 HB).
- Resists corrosion, erosion and cavitation.
Limitations
- Not suitable for oxy-fuel gas welding.
- The lowest ductility in the family (A5 10%).
