Purpose
- Nickel-iron-manganese aluminum bronze solid wire (CuAl8Ni2Fe2Mn2) for joining nickel aluminum bronzes and surfacing steel, including cast iron.
Why it works
Nickel (2.2%) together with added iron and manganese raises strength (Rm 530 MPa) and toughness (KV 70 J) well above CUP AL8 MIG and CUP AL9FE MIG — a higher-tier aluminum bronze, suitable for welding on cast iron.
Fields of application
- Joining nickel-manganese-iron aluminum bronze alloys (DIN 2.0920-2.0980 and equivalents).
- Surfacing steel parts.
- Welding on cast iron.
