Purpose
- Copper-silver solid wire (CuAg1, low phosphorus) for joining pure copper and copper-silver alloys.
Why it works
Silver (0.8-1.2%) slightly raises pure copper's hot-creep resistance without compromising conductivity — a filler suited to copper parts operating at somewhat elevated temperature.
Fields of application
- Joining pure copper and copper-silver alloys (DIN 2.0040, 2.0076, 2.0090).
- Oxy-fuel gas welding of de-oxidized copper.

Advantages
- Silver (0.8-1.2%) improves hot-strength over pure copper.
- Also suitable for oxy-fuel gas welding of de-oxidized copper.
Limitations
- Lower ductility than other copper wires in this datasheet (A5 18%).
